Overview of HBV associated HBV-HCV-HDV coinfection

Coinfection with hepatitis D virus (HDV) in chronic hepatitis B is associated with more rapid progression to liver cirrhosis. . Hepatitis D, B and C virus (HDV/HBV/HCV) coinfection is a diagnostic problem and therapeutic challenge. Some reports provide evidence for suppression of HCV replication by HDV and HBV.(PMID: 28856286)
