We nowfind that two mutant Z proteins (Z197K/200S and Z200E/225E), which we had reported to be dimerization incompetent, are able to dimerize to Z (although the Z200E/Z225E mutant dimerizes less efficiently than wild-type Z) but no longer bind to p65 (Fig. 1C).
