Evidence After sequencing the PreS region from 522 samples and the EnhII/BCP/Precore region from 750 samples, we rated the HCC-associated HBV mutations including PreS deletion, T31C, T53C, C1653T, T1753V, A1762T/G1764A, and G1899 A (20-31); fulminant hepatitis B–associated mutation G1896A (40); and liver cirrhosis–associated mutations C1766T (20).
