As to genotype B, five HBV mutation hotspots were found significantly associated with HCC, among which A2721G, T2666C, A636T, and G167T (OR > 3) were identified as high-risk factors, whereas six mutation hotspots were inversely associated with HCC, as compared with patients with LC.
