Evidence Indeed, it has been shown that a single amino acid change in the transactivation domain of EBV-2 EBNA2 (S442D) can drastically alter EBV-2 B-cell transformation efficacy similar to that observed with EBV-1 and increase induction of LMP1 expression with a higher affinity for the LMP1 promoter.
