We found that K14A, E96A, Y99A, K103A, V165A, R187A, K188E R199A, K236E, and R269A/R273A IN mutants trans-complemented a catalytically inactive IN at levels similar to the WT, whereas W108R, R228A, and V260E mutants were unable to do so (Figure 2D-E).
