Evidence Within the ORF‐X, almost all the studied samples (39 of 46, 85%) showed mutations along their sequences. Only 12 (26%) presented the nt substitutions A1762T and G1764A at the BCP, associated to a decrease in HBeAg expression and translated to the K130M and V131I amino acid mutations at the X protein.
