Evidence	Notably, the frequency of the G1896A mutation in the HBeAg-negative child patients was significantly lower than in the HBeAg-negative adult patients (41.1% vs 91.7%, P < 0.001), and similar results were also observed for other BCP/precore mutations such as A1846T (17.8% vs 37.5%, P = 0.010) and the G1899A substitution (7.8% vs 20.8%, P = 0.026).
