Evidence Among the other 7 mutations, the most consequential were L122A, F159A, F176A, I307A, and F317A, although two of them, F159A and F317A, showed a discrepancy between a strong effect on anti-CD4-BS MAbs like F105 and VRC01 and only a modest impact on sCD4, suggesting an incomplete opening of the trimer in this region (Fig. 3A).
