Evidence N-terminal sequence analysis showed high conservation and identified only three different variants: 19 samples demonstrated 100% sequence similarity with the N terminal sequence of the EBV reference strain B95-8, while 12 sequences matched the previously identified type 2 EBV strain AG876 which differs to B95-8 in the positions: Q16E, E18G, D24E, S27G and A85T.
