The Δ17-N-term, K86A, E90A, C97A, P171A, C174A, R175A, E176A, and P178A mutants showed correlated signaling and MHC class I downregulation functions (Fig. 4E), where Δ17-N-term, K86A, P171A, R175A, E176A, and P178A mutants retained a wt-like signaling and MHC class I downregulation functions (Fig. 4E).
