Title Efficient Transduction of LEDGF/p75 Mutant Cells by Gain-of-Function HIV-1 Integrase Mutant Viruses.
Author Wang H,Shun MC,Li X,Di Nunzio F,Hare S,Cherepanov P,Engelman A
Evidence Alteration of LEDGF/p75 residues Lys401, Lys402, and Arg405 to glutamates (K401E/K402E/R405E, referred to as EEE) reduced WT HIV-Luc infection by approximately fivefold, yet boosted the activity of the weakly infectious reverse-charge KK (E10K/E13K) HIV-1 IN mutant virus by approximately sixfold (from ~2% with WT LEDGF/p75 to ~13% with EEE).
