The patient was treated with IFN-α+lamivudine, and sK122R-containing mutants persisted during the observation period. Specifically, sK122R, sK122R + D144E, sK122R + C121R + D144E, and sK122R + F134L + D144E mutants respectively comprised 86.4 %, 4.5 %, 4.5 %, and 4.5 % of tested viral clones at the first time-point (sample 1). ;After 4 months of treatment, the sK122R and sK122R + sD144E mutants respectively comprised 95.2 % and 4.8 % of the viral clones in sample 2. ;Five viral strains from patient 1, wild-type (WT), sK122R (M1), sK122R + D144E (M2), sK122R + C121R + D144E (M3), and sK122R + F134L + D144E (M4), were transfected into HepG2 cells, and HBV DNA levels were determined in the culture supernatant after 72 h.;Five viral strains from patient 1, wild-type (WT), sK122R (M1), sK122R + D144E (M2), sK122R + C121R + D144E (M3), and sK122R + F134L + D144E (M4), were transfected into HepG2 cells, and HBV DNA levels were determined in the culture supernatant after 72 h.
