Table 3 lists the HBV mutations in the EnhII/BCP/PC region that are significantly associated with HC and HCC. Of these, the C1653T, T1753C, A1762T/G1764A, and G1899A mutations in HBV genotype C and the A1762T/G1764A mutations in HBV genotype B increased in prevalence from the ASC state to HCC successively (Ptrend < 0.001 for each).
