Result: ACE2 had the lowest binding affinity to two S variants, F465E and N487R, with an EC50 of 16.16 and 17.25 microg/mL, respectively (Figure 2B).
Result: Interestingly, 8/10 (80%) mutations that decreased the ability of the S protein to bind ACE2 (G446V, F456E, G485S, F486S, N487R, F490L, P499R, Y505C) are located at the RBD-ACE2 interaction interface (Figure 2E).
