Result: A subset of the A2 sublineage appeared to be uniquely defined by the C335T (H85Y) and A442C (E120D) in E6 and A646C (N29H) in E7, and a subset of the A1 sublineage was uniquely defined by the C790T (R77C) in the E7 gene.
Discussion: Additionally, HPV16 E6 H85Y and E120D belong to the A2 sublineage in this study but are not associated with cervical cancer.
