Result: The amounts of pelletable CA cores in the cells infected with the S16A/P17A mutant virus increased against those detected in the cells infected with WT virus.

Discussion: 2g and 3l, cell-based fate-of-capsid uncoating assay demonstrated that the infectivity defect of the S16A/P17A variant is linked to a dysfunction of the uncoating process, and Pin1 depletion in the target cells is linked to a dysfunction of uncoating.
