Abstract: Interestingly, the GI9 (Pol) epitope was also conserved, but GI9 (Pol)-specific T-cell responses did not influence disease progression (P > 0.05), while a D490G variant identified in one patient did not affect CD4 T-cell counts.
Result: Indeed, the emergence of the D490G variant did not affect the CD4 T-cell count or VL in patient 321145.
Result: The GI9 (Pol) epitope was conserved in our cohort, and only one patient (321145) harbored the D490G variant during follow-up, with a variant rate of 61.85% at 38 days of HIV-1 infection, increasing to 100% at 3 months of HIV-1 infection (Table 2).
