Introduction: The nucleotide substitutions in the pre-S1 promoter region, particularly the G2765A mutation, reduce the L protein expression and regulate the biological situation of HBV and result in a low viral load and then less serious disease in chronic HBV infection.


  A substitution in the pre-S1 promoter region is associated with the viral regulation of hepatitis B virus.

Result: To further investigate the effect of the G2765A substitution on HBV production, we constructed a 1.3-fold HBV genome vector that enabled the production of HBV particles when transfected into HepG2 cells.
Discussion: Our results suggest the possibility that the Discussion: Reduced levels of L protein caused by the G2765A substitution may enable HBV to escape immune pressure, making it possible to persist in the hepatocytes of patients.
